Ladies - long, colourful dresses. Not ball gown, but what you’d wear to a fancy garden soiree
The Southern Highlands are usually a few degrees cooler than Sydney, so bring something warm for the evening!
Recovery

TravelArriving by train
The nearest station to Somerley House is Moss Vale (10mins drive), with trains departing from Sydney CBD stations (Central, Wynyard, Town Hall, Circular Quay).
The train from Sydney is roughly 2hr 30mins.

There is parking available at Somerley House, signs will direct you to the right spot.
Driving from Sydney takes about 1hr 45mins.
Taxis
There is Uber down in some of the towns near Somerley House (Bowral and Moss Vale), but it’s not always the most reliable service.

StayAccommodation
There are plenty of hotels, B&Bs and AirBnbs to choose from. Our favourite towns in the area are:
Bowral - the largest hub in the Southern Highlands, quaint but with all the trappings, shops and restaurants of a big town.
Berrima - a very twee and cute historic village with some excellent old pubs.
Moss Vale - the second largest town after Bowral and the closest to our venue (only 10mins drive).
